Jake Norton is a 33 year old professional keynote speaker
from Golden, Colorado. Jake has worked as a professional mountain guide and
photographer for over twelve years, and has traveled the world for countless
clients.
His climbing and photographic exploits have taken him:
to the summit of Everest twice (out of five
expeditions in total)
on five expeditions to the Peruvian Andes
to the summits of continental highpoints
Mount McKinley in Alaska and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania
eighty-six times to the summit of Mount
Rainier in Washington.
In 2004, Jake recreated Sir Ernest Shackleton's
famous 1917 traverse of South Georgia Island with a group of adventurers
from Geographic Expeditions. He organized and led the first American
ascent of 25,500 foot Gurla Mandhata in western Tibet in the autumn of

As a photographer, Jake has worked for The Discovery
Channel, Outdoor Life Network, Outside Magazine, Toyota, Ford Motor Company,
National Geographic Adventure, Men's Journal, and countless other national and
international publications. His assignments have taken him to Nepal, Tibet,
South Africa, Costa Rica, and Iceland. Jake was also a videographer on Everest
